Install on your Windows in 5 steps

About 2 minutes. You only do this once on each computer.

    Download Vivitsu Reader

    Click Download for Windows. The file Vivitsu-Reader-Setup.exe saves to your Downloads folder.

    Open the file you downloaded

    Open your Downloads folder and double-click Vivitsu-Reader-Setup. If Windows shows “Windows protected your PC”, click More info, then Run anyway. This is normal for new apps and is safe.

    Install it

    Keep the suggested folder and click Install, then Finish. It takes under a minute. A Vivitsu Reader icon appears on your desktop and in the Start menu.

    Sign in with your mobile number

    Open Vivitsu Reader, enter the mobile number you bought your soft copies with and click Send code. Type the 6-digit code from the SMS. You stay signed in after that.

    Open your book and start reading

    My Books shows your soft copies. Click Read. To highlight, click Mark at the top, choose Highlight, Underline or Pen, and drag over the text. Click Done when you finish. Everything saves by itself.

Questions

Is Vivitsu Reader free?
Yes. It is free for everyone who bought a Vivitsu soft copy or bundle. Sign in and your books are there.
Which books open in Vivitsu Reader?
The soft copies you can read in the Vivitsu app (they show Read in My Books). Books that are not ready yet are listed under Not readable here with the reason. Those still open in Safeguard Viewer, as explained in the soft copy guide.
On how many devices can I read?
On 2 devices, phones and computers together (more if Vivitsu has given your account extra). On one device too many, Vivitsu Reader offers Use it here instead, and the device you used longest ago is signed out of your books. Need more devices? Message us from Contact us.
Do I need the internet?
Yes. Your book streams page by page from Vivitsu and is never saved on the computer, so the Reader needs an internet connection.
Can I take screenshots, print or share my screen?
No. To protect the authors’ work, screenshots, screen recording, printing and screen sharing (Zoom, Meet, Teams) show a black window. Every page also carries your name and order number.
How do I update or uninstall it?
To update, download and install the new version from this page: your books, highlights and sign-in stay. To uninstall on Windows, open Settings → Apps, find Vivitsu Reader and click Uninstall. On a Mac, drag Vivitsu Reader from Applications to the Bin.
